Relationships
Main Description
The Configuration Manager must produce the Technology Asset And Configuration Management Procedures by tailoring Capgemini’s standard procedures. Tailoring guidelines may be used for the same. The procedures must detail out on the roles and responsibilities for this process. The required skillset should also be identified, along with training needs if any. The Technology Asset And Configuration Management Procedures must contain the workflows to be followed for various activities within scope. These could include technology asset handling, Configuration Management Database (CMDB) management, technology configuration item management during change, etc. Additionally, the Configuration Manager must determine the approach for activities like labelling and baselining technology configuration items, identify relationships between all configuration items, assets and service components, document control, etc. The procedures must also cover different activities like configuration control, monitoring, auditing, reporting, etc. for technology configuration items and assets. The procedure for measuring the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and reporting the same, must also be finalized.

Establishing these procedures would ensure that the Service Delivery teams and relevant stakeholders understand and implement the process as per the expectations of Technology Asset And Configuration Management. These procedures should be revised if the standard processes are revised or the Client expectations get modified.
